Caring for the eye health of children and teens across Brazil is the goal of the Clear Sight project, which offers free visual acuity exams and donated eyeglasses to children and teens in situations of social vulnerability. The exams are conducted in a mobile unit that also includes other activities such as blood glucose and blood pressure screenings, quick massages, stretching and dance classes, social services like haircuts, cultural performances, and leisure activities for the children.
The visual acuity test is an essential assessment to determine clarity and sharpness of vision. It is the most widely used exam to check the functional capacity of the eyes and is fundamental for identifying potential vision problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism, which can affect quality of life and performance in daily tasks. After the test, if vision problems are identified, those being treated are given instructions and receive a donated pair of glasses.
Implemented in the cities of Feira de Santana/BA and São Paulo/SP, the project has already helped 800 children and teenagers, donating 400 pairs of eyeglasses.
Os exames são realizados em uma estrutura itinerante, que também inclui outros serviços de saúde como aferição de pressão e glicemia, massagens rápidas e aulas de alongamento e dança.

Contribute so that Clear Sight can reach more Brazilian cities and impact the lives of children and teens by promoting eye health.
