Social project helps combat childhood sedentary behavior and promotes a healthy future.

Athletes Factory integrates sports, education, and social inclusion to transform children's reality.

Today, 3 out of 4 Brazilian teenagers do not practice physical activity regularly, according to data from IBGE. This alarming figure points to a future with serious health consequences for our children, who are increasingly moving away from physical activities in favor of technology. Sport is the key to transforming children’s physical, cognitive, and emotional development.

Sport is the key to transforming children’s comprehensive development (physical, cognitive, and emotional). The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends at least 60 minutes of moderate daily physical activity for youth, yet only 43% of children in Brazil meet this recommendation. This lack of movement has serious consequences, such as an increase in cardiovascular disease, obesity, and sedentary lifestyles in adulthood.

This is where the Athlete Factory project steps in, promoting health from an early age. By engaging thousands of children in soccer, the project develops not only motor coordination but also self-confidence, discipline, and mental health.

Practicing sports from childhood combats sedentary lifestyles, strengthens mental health, improves concentration, and contributes to good school performance. Additionally, sports teach values such as teamwork, responsibility, and self-esteem. By investing in physical activities for children, we are building a healthier and more prepared future.

Student’s mother testimonial

Studies by Barnett et al. (2016) show that physically active children are more likely to become healthy adults with a better quality of life. This is what needs to be done: encouraging children to move, play, and learn through sport.

With the support of partners and a dedicated team, the Fábrica de Atletas project has offered every child the opportunity to engage in physical activities, promoting physical and emotional well-being from childhood. By encouraging sports and physical activity from an early age, sedentary lifestyles can be combated, opening doors to a healthier future. Every step toward movement is an investment in children’s future.
